“This scholarship is a guaranteed award of $1,000 for incoming first-year students who are invited to join the University Honors Program during their first fall semester (for fall 2021 entry term) and meet the following criteria:

  • 28+ ACT composite (1300+ SAT total) and in the top 5% of high school class (or 3.95 GPA on a 4.0 scale if class rank is unavailable or #1 in your high school class), or

  • 29+ ACT composite (1330+ SAT total) and in the top 10% of high school class (or 3.95 GPA on a 4.0 scale if class rank is unavailable), or

  • 30+ ACT composite (1360+ SAT total) and in the top 15% of high school class (or 3.95 GPA on a 4.0 scale if class rank is unavailable)”

Out-Of-State Transfer Scholarship

“Guaranteed award of at least $2,000 to students residing in states other than Minnesota or Wisconsin and considered non-resident for tuition purposes. Students must also meet the basic transfer scholarship eligibility criteria (transferable college GPA of 3.5 or higher).”

“These scholarships are guaranteed for students paying the Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP) and Nonresident tuition rates. (Students paying WI Resident or MN Resident rates are not eligible.) Students will be awarded one of the following scholarships based on which minimum eligibility requirements they meet.”

“Incoming transfer students with a transferable GPA of 3.5 at the point of admission are eligible to be considered for all applicable awards. Note: Nontraditional students (freshmen or transfer) will be reviewed for applicable scholarships at the point of admissions prior to March 1.”

Automatic Consideration Scholarships

$500-6,000/year

“There are a number of scholarships available from $500-6,000 per year, renewable for up to four years if you meet the eligibility criteria at the point of admission. These scholarships are based on your admission application; a separate application is not required.

Some of these scholarships are designated for first-generation students and/or students with financial need (as determined by the financial aid office), who have demonstrated academic excellence in high school and continue to do so in college. We strongly encourage those interested in these scholarships to submit a FAFSA application at fafsa.gov ASAP (which opens Oct. 1 for the following year). If submitted, your FAFSA will be taken into consideration.”
