“A four-year grant in the amount of $1,000 per year is awarded to students of a multicultural background meeting certain academic criteria. The student must be admitted to Carthage as a new freshman or transfer. A minimum cumulative grade-point average of 2.0 is required for renewal.”
Transfer Scholarship
Full Tuition or $20,000/year
“One full tuition scholarship and one $20,000 per year scholarship, renewable for up to three years, are awarded to new incoming transfer students who show determination, intelligence and motivation.”
Visit Grant
$500/year
“A four-year renewable grant of $500 per year (four-year value: $2,000) is awarded to prospective students who visit Carthage. One Visit Grant per student. Schedule your visit. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 is required for renewal.”
Presidential Scholarship Program

“Open to all majors and offers 35 scholarships ranging from $22,000 to full tuition per year.”

“Up to fifteen $2,500 per year scholarships are awarded to applicants who exhibit exemplary leadership qualities and potential, and commitment to actively contribute to the diversity of Carthage through participation in campus activities. These scholarships are in addition to most other Carthage assistance”
Academic Merit Grant
Up to $13,000/year
“At the time of admission, academic scholarships up to $13,000 per year are awarded to qualified freshmen based on cumulative high school grade-point average (non-weighted). Complete your application and send your high school transcripts to discover your merit award.”
MODERN LANGUAGES SCHOLARSHIPS — CHINESE, FRENCH, GERMAN, JAPANESE, AND SPANISH
$22,000/year
“Up to ten scholarships are awarded to students majoring or minoring in Chinese (two scholarships), French (two scholarships), German (two scholarships), or Japanese (two scholarships), or majoring in Spanish (two scholarships). Each scholarship covers $22,000 per year renewable for four years, and incorporates all Carthage assistance.”
